Manage members and invitations

Invite people, assign their access, and manage pending invitations.

Before you start

Open the organization menu, then select Members. Owners can manage all organization roles. Admins can invite and manage Admins and Members, but cannot assign or change the Owner role.

Invite a person

  1. Select Invite member.
  2. Enter the person's email address and choose the organization role.
  3. If you choose Member, assign at least one project and choose its project role.
  4. Send the invitation.

The recipient must accept the invitation before they can use CJM.

Organization roleAccess
OwnerFull ownership of the organization and access to all its projects.
AdminCan manage the organization and access all its projects.
MemberHas no project access by default; project assignments are required.

For a Member, select a project role for every initial project assignment: Viewer to view, Editor to change operational configuration, or Admin to also manage that project's access.

Manage an invitation or member

In Members, use the pending-invitation actions to resend an invitation or cancel it before it is accepted. For existing members, use the available role and removal actions to change organization access or remove the person.

You can also add, change, or remove a Member's access to an individual project from that project's SettingsProject access.

Common issues

  • A Member cannot see a project: open that project's Settings and add them in Project access. Organization membership alone is not enough.
  • The invitation has not arrived: check the email address, then resend it from the pending invitations list.
  • You cannot choose Owner: only an Owner can manage that role.
  • You cannot change your own project role: ask another project Admin or an organization Owner/Admin to make the change.
