Manage projects

Create, select, configure, and control access to projects.

Before you start

You need to be an organization Owner or Admin to create a project. To change a project's settings or its access list, you need project Admin access. Organization Owners and Admins already have it on every project.

Create or open a project

  1. Open the organization menu in the sidebar and select Projects.
  2. Select New Project and complete the project details shown in the setup flow.
  3. Finish the flow and select the new project from the project switcher.

To return to an existing project, open Projects or the project switcher and select its name. The dashboard then shows that project's data and setup.

Change the project details

  1. Select the project from the switcher.
  2. Open Settings for that project.
  3. Update the project name, or upload a project logo where needed, then save.

The new name and logo identify the project in the dashboard; they do not move data between projects.

Give a member access to a project

  1. Open the selected project's Settings.
  2. In Project access, choose Add member.
  3. Select an organization member, choose a role, and confirm.
RoleAccess
ViewerCan view the project and its analytics.
EditorCan also change operational configuration.
AdminCan also manage project access and project settings.

Use the role selector in the same list to change a member's role. Use the remove action to revoke their access from this project. Removing project access does not remove the person from the organization.

Organization Owners and Admins already access every project. An organization Member only sees projects to which they have an explicit assignment.

Delete a project carefully

Open the project's Settings and use the delete action only when the project is no longer needed. Deletion is permanent. CJM blocks deletion while related resources still exist, so first remove or move the resources indicated by the dashboard.

If you cannot find New Project, Project access, or the delete action, check that you selected the right organization and that your role has the required access.
