CJM
Marketing Channels

Connect your advertising channels

Connect Meta Ads or Google Ads to import campaign data and prepare conversion reporting.

Connect the advertising accounts used by this project so CJM can import campaigns and prepare the other platform-specific features.

You can do this during the guided setup, in Marketing Channels, or later under Setup → Channels in the project. Connections belong to the selected CJM project: check the project before authorizing an account.

You can skip a platform you do not use. Connecting a channel does not require you to connect the other one.

What the connection is for

After completing a connection, you can:

  • import historical campaign and cost data for a selected date range;
  • keep current campaign data available to CJM's reporting processes;
  • make imported channel and campaign data available in the current Acquisition views;
  • configure Offline Conversion and verify deliveries in Signals.

What it does not do automatically

Connecting Meta Ads or Google Ads does not:

  • install the CJM Pixel on your website;
  • start sending every CJM event to the advertising platform;
  • create or enable all conversion destinations;
  • prove that campaigns or conversions have already been imported.

Install and verify the CJM Pixel separately. Then configure Offline Conversion or Server Tracking only for the conversions you want to send, and verify them in Signals.

Google Tag Manager is also a separate connection: it is used to install the Pixel through GTM, not as an advertising channel.

  1. Connect the platform where you run campaigns.
  2. Complete the account selection until the card no longer shows a missing setup step.
  3. Use Import Data if you need historical campaign data.
  4. Install the Pixel to collect visits and website actions.
  5. Configure Offline Conversion or Server Tracking, then use Signals to verify the intended deliveries.

This order separates three different results: reading campaign data, collecting website activity, and sending conversions.
